Hustler Custom Pendant: From CAD to Finished Piece

The Hustler pendant shown here is a real 100kGems custom project. These images show three stages of the same design: its CAD artwork, a physical wax model and the finished piece. Together, they show how detailed lettering is developed before it becomes jewellery.

1. Planning the design in CAD

The CAD artwork sets out the pendant’s lettering, overall shape, bail and stone placement. It gives us a detailed view of the proportions before production begins. The measurements visible in this image belong to this particular Hustler design.

2. Checking the form with a wax model

The physical wax model brings the letter shapes and depth into view before casting. It helps us check how the design works as an object, including the raised details and the space between letters. For a custom piece that needs this stage, the model can inform the mould used for casting.

3. Seeing the finished pendant

In the finished photograph, the lettering from the CAD and wax stages has become a polished, stone-set pendant. You can compare the final shape with the earlier images and see how the design carried through to the completed piece.

What could we make for you?

100kGems creates custom pendants from names, initials, logos, meaningful symbols and original artwork. We shape the lettering, proportions and stone layout around each idea. CAD design and a physical model can be part of the process when the piece calls for them.
